Meet the Founder

Jack Ogden

Leader

Jack was lucky to serve as a Navy SEAL Officer, leading teams domestically and overseas in both Africa and the Middle East while stationed at SEAL Team One in San Diego. As the Innovation Officer at Naval Special Warfare Command, Jack worked on harnessing modern technologies from Virtual Reality to Artificial Intelligence for frontline operators and served as the founding member of the newly formed office of the Chief Technology Officer for Naval Special Warfare. Jack honed his leadership skills at the US Naval Academy, where he was the 26th Company Commander, in charge of 160 Midshipman preparing to fill leadership roles in the Fleet.

Learner

Jack graduated ranked #1 academically at the Naval Academy with a 4.0 GPA in over 200 credit hours, double majoring in Quantitative Economics and Chinese and minoring in Spanish. Jack earned the Goodman award for most outstanding student in Quantitative Economics and the Smith-McCool sword commemorating Naval Academy graduates Michael Smith and William McCool who died piloting the Challenger and Columbia space shuttles. A four-year varsity heavyweight rower, Jack won the Kristensen award in honor of KIA LCDR (SEAL) Erik Kristensen as the athlete who contributed the most morally, mentally, and physically to the team over 4 years. Jack is an avid learner still with continued interest in medicine and math.

Entrepreneur

Jack has been a successful private investor both individually and as an investment professional at software-focused private equity fund Vista Equity Partners. He has worked with companies from the idea stage to those preparing to IPO and has closed multiple acquisitions and hundreds of millions in enterprise value. Among many lessons, Jack has learned to prioritize the integrity and character of the leadership team and their commitment to the company’s mission as ideas are only as strong as the team who executes them.

Family

Jack has three siblings Ryan (27), Madeline (22), and Olivia (19) and a five year old daughter Lila. He was raised by his parents Jason and Lara in Houston, Texas. Jack loves getting outdoors to play sports, teaching Lila how to dance, and game nights with his close friends, many of whom have spent over a decade supporting one another. While Jack has been slowed down by four lower body surgeries from his time in the military, he is the biggest fan of Esguiera CP basketball team, where his brother Ryan is the MVP of the Portuguese Liga Betclic.
